Frequently asked questions
Everything about cutting out faces privately in your browser.
Is FaceConfetti really free?+
Yes. There are no accounts, watermarks or limits. Everything runs on your own device, so there are no server costs to pass on.
Do you store my photos or upload them to a server?+
No. FaceConfetti processes everything locally in your browser. Your photos never leave your device, and we do not claim ownership of your images.
What rights do I need for the photos I upload?+
Please ensure you have the necessary rights and permissions for any photos you upload and process.
What gets removed from the photo?+
The background, neck, body and clothes are removed. The face and hair stay, including worn items like hats, headbands and glasses.
What does the Neck Cutoff Level do?+
It moves the line under the chin where the cutout ends. Lower values trim tighter to the jaw; higher values keep a bit more below the chin.
How do I make a sticker look?+
Increase Border thickness, pick a border color (white is classic) and switch on Drop shadow. Download as a transparent PNG to use it anywhere.
Why is the first cutout slower?+
The first time, your browser downloads a small segmentation model (about 16 MB). After that it's cached and cutouts take about a second.
Copy to Clipboard doesn't work.+
Some browsers (older Firefox, some mobile browsers) block copying images. Use Download PNG instead.
What photos work best?+
Well-lit, front-facing photos with the whole head visible. Very small faces, heavy blur or multiple overlapping people may give weaker results.
What is the resolution of the downloaded cutout, and is it suitable for printing?+
FaceConfetti preserves the clarity of your uploaded photo and exports a high-quality transparent PNG up to 1,200px on the longest side for reliable in-browser performance. That is ideal for digital sharing and printing stickers, cupcake toppers, party decorations, or a big-head cutout at around palm size at 300 DPI.
